Holly Valance Biography
Holly Valance has made an instant impressive debut with her pop smash hit ‘Kiss Kiss’. With Holly’s good looks and catchy smash hit, her single received near continuous play on the radio and MTV. ‘Kiss Kiss’ was one of the biggest hits of the year, and this led her to a further string of smash hit singles. ‘Kiss Kiss’ made it to #1 in the UK charts.
She followed up ‘Kiss Kiss’ with ‘Down Boy’. ‘ Down Boy’ has a funky groove and a strong beat line to it, which was mastered by the producer Nellee Hooper. It has an drum n’ bass element to it, with industrial sounds produced by the synthesizers, ‘Down Boy’ has been a very creative song, and made it to #2 chart position in the United Kingdom.
‘Naughty Girl’ was the follow up to ‘Down Boy’ it only reached #16 in the UK singles charts, but this does not stop it from being a good song. ‘Naughty Girl’ is a contrast to the previous hits ‘Kiss Kiss’ and ‘Down Boy’. ‘Naughty Girl’ is a more toned down and mellow song, which gives Holly a change to really show the strength of her singing.
How Holly Valance led to her career is really interesting. Both Holly Valance’s parents were former models, and she started modelling at the age of 12. Aside from modelling Holly’s parents were serious musicians, her Dad ‘Ryko’ was a jazz guitarist and pianist, whilst her Mum ‘Rachel’ always kept Holly Valance up with the latest music trends, with such legends ‘Soul II Soul’, ‘American Trance’, ‘Slayer’ to ‘Marilyn Manson’.
Holly Valance’s musical tastes varies, her favourite albums include Paul Oakenfold’s New York DJ mix for Global Underground, to hip hop queen Missy Elliott ‘Miss E… So Addictive’.
As well as her latest music career, Holly Valance has had a brief spell of acting in the soap based tv drama ‘Neighbours’. She played the cute innocent school girl of Erinsborough High. Well based upon the video ‘Kiss Kiss’ Holly Valance has come along way from her innocent school girl image. She has been on the cover of several magazines including the most notable FHM.
